The Basic Protein Handbook

With all of the supplements out there today, you are probably bombarded with all the choices. Take product A for cutting, take product B for vascularity, take product C for endurance, etc. But when it comes down to it, the most basic of all the supplements is protein. Whether your goal is cutting or bulking, protein plays a crucial role in your supplement regimen. Of course there are products such as gainers, blended proteins that combine two or more of these sources, etc, but that isn’t what this article is about. The purpose is to give you a little background information on the most popular protein sources today. This isn’t all there is to know about these proteins either, as each one could warrant an article of its own, but the bare basics are what I wrote about... More

Recommended I used N.O. Shotgun V3 for 2 cycles. A guy at my local supp shot turned me to this product when I first started looking into creatine supps. The down side to this product is the taste isn't all that great, but if you chug it real quick and chase it with some water or juice you're good to go. You feel the increased energy right from your first scoop. The first couple of weeks I felt a little jittery after my workouts but after a while that goes away. This product does what it says. It helped me build some lean muscle and lose body fat which was my goal. Also another thing I liked about this product is that it has 20 grams of protein per serving that way you get your creatine, protein, fat burner, and stimulant all in one scoop. The only down side for me was during my second month I had to up my dose to 1 1/2 scoops to get the same stimulant effect but I know that's because I was getting used to it. Over this is a good product. It does what it says and if ypu think it's a littly to expensive check online for deals and also remember you are getting a lot of different things from one scoop. If anyone wants to know any more info i'd be happy to answer question.
Pros:
Cons:
  • Increased Weight Loss
  • Increased Energy
  • Makes You Jittery
  • Bad Taste

Recommended I put on fat easily, so AP has been a blessing to me. I take 1 capsule before each carbs meal over 30 grams.
I am leaner/stay leaner, get big pumps (they call it the food pump) and dont get bloated or crash after a carb meal.
This is the only nutrient partitioner that actually delivers. I consider it a staple and 1-3 caps a day, based upon whatever eating plan I'm following.
Stacks great with a fat burner.
    Pros:
    Cons:
  • Improves Body Composition
  • Allows Carbs To Be Eaten And Not Stored As Fat
  • Builds Muscle

I keep reading answers that say you need to cycle off from pre workout supplments so that your body dosent adapt to the stimulints. Why is this? Is it dangerous not to cycle off from them?
    Answer #1:
It's not so much that it's dangerous as it's the fact that your body builds up a tolerance to ingredients like arginine and caffeine.

    Answer #2:
When you build up a tolerance to PWO, they lose the effects that most people feel when they first begin using them. So if you don't cycle off or at least switch up your PWO, you're kind of shorting yourself and your workout because youre not getting that pump or energy boost they initially gave you.

I'm thinking about buying USP Labs Recreate. My goal is lower body fat by taking this along with doing some HIIT. I work nights so I work out as soon as I wake up. Sometime I do it on an empy stomach or just have a protein shake before I work out. Will Recreate help me lower body fat even if I don't take it before a meal? Should I take it when I wake up then workout? Or should I take it before my first real meal of the day? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
    Answer #1:
Hey bud, You made a great choice for a fat burner, Recreate is top of the line. It works best if you take it on an empty stomach 30 mins before meals. But don't take it with in 4-5 hours of bed time or you might have trouble sleeping. Each serving contains 200mg of caffine. Good luck bro

    Answer #2:
Recreate is the best fat burner out there. I've cycled it at least 5 times, each time with great results. Take 2 in the morning when you get up, take it on an empty stomach. After playing with the dosing, this gave me the best results. And then 2 in the early afternoon 30 minutes or so before your meal. 4 a day for a few months and watch your appetite get under control, your sweet cravings go out the window, energy goes up with no jitters, and fat burning is enhanced. Recreate is the only fat burner/low stim supplement that I've ever gotten results from, and the best part is it's an enjoyable product to be on. When I cycle off for 4 weeks I definitely miss it.

    Answer #3:
yes! screw that pre-workout protein shake. you can burn the most calories in the morning, so dont eat until you're done working out. the Recreate is a great fat burner by the way. it uses your bodies own fat stores as a source of energy, which is why they only use 50 mg of caffeine for the max dosage. any ways good luck with that.

    Answer #5:
Thanks for info guys. So it seems to me that I should just skip my pre workout protein shake when I get up and just take Recreate 30 minutes before my workout. I keep reading that I should take it for at least 60 days. Does anyone know if 30 days is not long enough?
