Yes, this product does taste blah! But, with a digestive problem, I was losing weight real fast. This gives me 52g protein a day in 16oz water, can't use milk either. A tip for all those who hate the flavor, add 1 oz of mixer, ie pina colada and it makes it totally different, actually good. To thicken it up, I add 4oz of the walmart brand protein drink with 350 calories. After 1st week, stopped my weight loss and have stayed even as my stomach relearns to digest. On 5th week, 4th 2lb 'tub' now and planning on continuing. Overall the best value and locally available even out in the boonies [as long as there's a WM around] It is the mainstay of my protein intake, with 1 bottle [11oz] of MuscleMilk every two days or so. Surprisingly also available at WM, about the only store within 40 miles.

Last minute protein for me if I don't get my stuff on time like when I buy my protein from Amazon with supersaver shipping and I didn't plan it well!!! I've only tried the chocolate flavor and the taste is bearable. Of late I dread any other flavor with any protein out there in the market. Pretty good amount of protein per serving for the money we spend on it and pretty decent combination of ingredients too. 1-1/2 scoops per serving should be good enough for one time.

This protein is cheap if you buy it from wal mart you can get it for about 12$ but it tastes like S*** it is sickening Ive been using it for about 3 months and it does help me to gain some muscle. The vanilla would be the least sickening flavor but last night at the gym i was gulping it down and a hard chip like piece of it got stuck in my throat and i almost threw up immediately. I dont know about anyone else but with my experience using this product i have had these hard pieces in vanilla and strawberry and with strawberry it is even more sickening I dread taking this everyday just because of the disgusting taste I had to give the strawberry tub away. it definitely is better with milk if you MUST take this but at the gym i use water so yeah its sick. people say that it doesnt mix well with milk but mine doesnt mix well with water either and i shake it up pretty good but it just doesnt mix when i gulp it down I feel tons of powdery clumps going down my esophogus. this product would be fine if it didnt taste like pure s*** it is extremely hard to handle. just writing this review makes me think of it and i want to vomit. If possible use something else but im going to have to say no just because flavor but if you can handle it then it should help you.

Protein is protein, this is protein. If your looking for a decent tasting protein look somewhere else because this stuff tastes pretty damn bad. I only buy it when I need whey at the last minute and I haven't ordered any online. It's a good last minute substitute but I wouldnt make it my primary whey protein. FYI the strawberry tastes like pepto bismol!!!

Real OG Gym heads know! Best bang for the buck! With BCAA's glutamine, creatine, you cant go wrong. You can catch it at wal mart for 12 bucks. And you can sometimes find the 5 lb container for 25 bucks. However someone told me wal mart upped the price to 14 as of late. Just like they did to six star which used to be 14 a container and now its 19. Idk I am sure some walmarts still have it for 12. Vanilla is most pliable with blending mixing or straight up.

I tried all the flavors except the new cookies and cream and the best one buy far is the chocolate really smooth. I tried all most of the top whey proteins out there. And this one the best for buck and protein. Just get chocolate its the best flavor

The thing about this stuff that I really like is that its cheap and it works. You can get this at Walmart. The only thing about it that I don't like is its not the greatest tasting protein out there. I wish the taste was better. As long as the price stays cheap and it works for me I will keep using it. One good thing I have noticed that when I take it I don't get that all bloated feeling in the stomach like I have gotten with a couple other proteins I have tryed.

This is great on taste and value. It taste better with milk to me. 2%, fat free or slim milk.
In the morning i add in old fashion Oaks, tbsp-almonds,5 grams creatine, all natural peanut butter and strawberrys(1 0r 2)
Before workout mix creatine Mono. with fav drink and stack it with Super NOS Pump.
45mins after taking creatine mono. and Super NOS Pump. in between sets I take BCAA powder mix it in you fav, drink because when your working out blood rushes into your muscles empty and its better when you take it with BCAA powder in between sets. so the blood rushes with BCAA into your muscles.that will help with recovery and gain muuscle.
After workout i add in peanut butter, strawberry, almonds, gultamine.
This works for me.
You guys to remember everybody different. What works for you may not work for others. Everybody his different in muscle fibers and genetics.

Taste is not so great but, You can mix a bannana with it like i do and sometimes P.Butter and the horrible taste goes away. Not to mention the amount of protein you get for the price AMAZING. I bough mine at walmart for $14 some bucks and it lasts me 3 weeks. You get 52 grams of Pure Protein in 2 scoops and adding P.Butter and bannana you talking to about 70grams of Protein,I even sometimes add egg whites.

This is the absolute worst tasting protein I've ever tried. I've tried a number of proteins, some so good you could eat the powder right out of the can, but when I mix this up, nothing I do makes it taste even tolerable. It makes me want to throw up. Sure it's a good price, but if I can't drink it without gagging it's not worth it.

For the price its the best! I take six scoops a day...you should be getting at least 1g of protein per pound of body weight, so six scoops is 156grams I weigh 175. So i shake at breakfast (must add banana though taste is tollerable with a banana)Whole Wheat toast. Then can of tuna or chicken at 9:00. Another Shake at 12:00 With a Whole Wheat turkey or chicken sandwhich. At 3:00 Maybe a small boiled or baked chicken breat. Then Another shake right after your workout. Then Dinner! This eating schedule seems to work great for me...the key is to not eat a whole lot at a time...small spread out meals...keeps your metabolism going throughout the day. This gives me around 200grams of protein per day which is great for someone 175lbs. The only problems i have with it is the gas a little not a whole lot though.

Flag | dont get me wrong high protein intake is good for you but 200 grams is a little bit too much for someone your weight because most of it is just wasted because unless you hardcore bodybuild and are in the gym day and night your body will not use it and you literally flush it down the toilet |

I have been taking supplements since 1970 and let me tell you of all the protein supplements I have taken over the years this protein powder is as good as or better than the best. Just a little gas once in awhile , but I think most give you gas except maybe Isopure which is also outstanding... Body Fortress is 1/2 the price of the so-called best rated products''tom short NY

I got the big tub of this stuff on sale for $10.99. I thought, "Alright! That's a great deal!" however, when I opened up the tub I found that it was only half full. They give you this gigantic tub which they only fill up about 40%. I was pretty mad, and felt I got ripped despite the sale price.
Besides that, the formula tastes great (chocolate) and works good. The creatine and 52g of protein per 2 scoops has caused me to gain a couple pounds of muscle after my weight training. I too have been getting pretty bad gas because of it though. heh

Flag | Not to offend you, but you obviously don't know much. Two pounds for such a price is one of the cheapest. Most brands sell less and charge more. Although not the best out there, it's pretty cheap and works wonderful. |

this is one of the best products i came across. the price is great and the results are just as good as any super expensive protein. for the ones who are taking more than 3 scoops a day, no wonder why your experiencing stomach problems. the highest does recommended is 3 scoops and no more should be taken after that. As far as taste, well it all depends. taking it straight with water or milk ya it will be a little hard to consume. The best way to take it and get even better results and added nutrients is to go out and by a cheap $20 blender, your favorite fruits and favorite juices. put 3 scoops of protein in the blender, your fruits, and how ever much juice you want. blend it up and enjoy. also you need to have a set schedule of when you take it. dont just take it at random times throughout the day. this will throw your body and digestive system off. heres a really good plan that i have been using and i have seen amazing results. on your workout days take a full 3 scoops after you work out. on your non workout days take 3 scoops for breakfast, and maybe eat a bagel or some eggs. thats all you should have to do. for those of you that are into weight training or just getting into it heres what i do and i get amazing results. on my workout days i take SuperPump250 mixed with a tablespoon of glutamine and a banana 40 minutes before my workout. the SP250 works great. it gives you all the energy and focus you need and also gives you that awsome bulky look after your workout. the glutamine is also really important. this rebulds your muscles faster and it doesnt give you that "drag-ass" feeling after your workout! After my workout i take 3 scoops of the protein. mix it with some V8 fruit juice along with my favorite fruits and a table spoon of more glutamine. this a perfect after workout meal.it will rebuild you muscles stronger and quicker and also give you all the nutrients your body needs to heal. Now for my non workout days in the morning i just do 3 scoops of protein mixed with 1 scoop of SP250 and a table spoon of glutamine. add my fruits and juice and enjoy a nice breakfast. i really hope this was helpfull to some people and if anyone wants to know more about dieting and excercise or has any questions feel free to email me at ryan.johnson32@us.army.mil. thanks

Flag | No where on the container does it say the highest dose recommended is 3 servings. For any sort of whey supp, there should be no highest recommended dose, it's a milk derivitive for godsake. Any serious lifter will be taking at least 6 scoops of whey per day with a clean, big meal plan. No whey protein should give anyone stomach pain, this stuff is terrible. |

A little background about me, my diet is totally in check and I weight train 4 days per week with Kung Fu and Aikido 2 days per week. At first I thought this was decent, it mixes well, the taste is okay. After I purchased it, I noticed there was creatine buried in the ingredient list. Now I have definite stomach problems, after 4 days. I've cycled creatine many times before and never had any sort of gastro issues like this. The ingredient quality is garbage. This is the reason I don't buy whey with creatine in it or any other sort of "get F'n huge" additives. I will be returning to my standard Dymatize Elite Isolate for only $10 more per 5lb. tub. If a price is too good to be true, it probably is.

I bought the 52 g protein and it works great. it's cheap and the taste is bearable. I've gain 5 pounds of muscle after being on it for 2 weeks. The way i take it is just a cup, spoon, and water. add the double scope into a dry cup and add a little warm water (cus cold water brings out the bad taste of the protein & with warm water, you're able to down it smoother). With a little warm water first, just stir it with a spoon cus its easier to break down when the protein isnt flooded with water. Then just pour the rest and stir and drink. Highly recommend it i bought it at target. Extremely cheap so i can finally match the double scopes. before i only use 1 scope because i was stingy and ran low fast. now i can just buy another one.

So far so good. The first day it was a little rough because I mixed it with milk.(lactose intolerant) I just use water now and no problems. I also take it right after my creatine and its okay. The price is right, its worth trying.

Tried this stuff only twice, and my stomach has been hurting for two days now... Even though it's giving me gas, i think it's more than just the lactose - this is different than lactose intolerance feeling - it just won't go away. Also, there is a crystaline 'crunch' in the texture... sux - i have to throw away the rest of it (which is basically all of it)

I wasn't too fond of this protein. I love the price per serving, but not the consistency or taste. I can usually deal with taste for a product that works well, but this one did not for me. I find that Optimum Nutrition 100% Gold Standard Whey (post-workout) and Nitro Core 24 or Syntha-6 (between meals), work the best for me. Everyone is diffent though and that's why we are leaving our opinions.
